Three quarters of the way through 2025 and we have seen an increase in the number of cases referred to us every month, so far we have supported over 45 families start their new journey in life and this was only possible by the fantastic support and help of our loyal volunteers and the local community.

Domestic Abuse is all too common in the UK, and its harmful impacts on survivors can extend to many areas of their lives, including mental health, physical wellbeing and family safety.

FACTS:

• The police receive a domestic abuse-related call every 30 seconds – yet its estimated less than 24% of domestic abuse crimes are reported to the police

• On average, one woman is killed by an abusive partner or ex every 5 days in the UK

• 1 in 4 women in the UK will experience domestic abuse in her lifetime.

• 20% of children in the UK have lived with an adult perpetrating domestic abuse – that is 1 in 5 kids

• Young girls in the UK report high incidence of sexual violence – 41% of girls aged between 14-17 in an intimate relationship experience some form of sexual violence from their partner

These stark facts are the reason New Life Domestic will work tirelessly to support families escaping abuse and in our small way help them restore safety and dignity in rebuilding their new lives.
